I had always wanted to go to 'The God's own Country' for our romantic get-away.. and munnar fell on the top of the list
I made a detailed research on various resorts and finally chose Eco Exotica ... it was a last minute decision and i thanked all my stars for opting this... OMG tranquility in every sense... absolutely refreshing...
Eco exotica has everything to boast about ...
perfect location... set admist the acres and acres of tea estate.... distant waterfall.. the hoot of the owl... the chirpy birds...the valley beneath.... it was just awesome.... trust me this place is like a perfect hide-out from all the bustling traffic..noise....crowd...
And there is a fabulous all- yours- waterfall... yea... its a decent waterfall which is about 20 mins walk from the resort.. the people over there helped us in reaching the place.. man its a sight to behold.. not a soul around ...
We booked the Rock house... and i fell in love with it for its simplicity and the amazing view from our bed... the french windows looked into the valley....
It was a neat, spacious room with all basic amenties.. TV, hot water,intercom..
There were some insects.. but it was all harmless types... yea..we chose to live wid nature...and it was WORTH the stay :)
Ah.. the next thing this resort could boast about is its food.. perfect home cooked custom made food .... :) ... the yummy poori and masal... the hot hot roti and dal... the taste still lingers...
Sight Seeing -
1.All-yours-Waterfall - This tops all the sight seeing we did in Munnar.... you cant help falling in love with this waterfall...
2. Hanging Bridge and river crossing in mankulam road - There were lot of small streams and beautiful boulders… was private enough to take a happy dip in the cold water… the hanging bridge was cool…the ride was splendid…through the tea estates.. and rubber trees.. the locals gave us tiny but ripe mangoes which was the best mango i have ever had...
We skipped the usual munnar sight seeing places as it was overflowing with people.. but i bet we made a wise decision :)
